Marco, a host with passion in his heart.

Marco, the owner and manager of Battello Restaurant, is the soul of this special place. Born in Basilicata, from a young age he cultivated his passion for the culinary arts, handed down to him by his father. Over the years, he honed his skills working in renowned restaurants in Italy and abroad, acquiring a deep knowledge of the food and wine world. In Switzerland, he collaborated with prestigious groups such as Bordogna, enriching his professional background and refining his palate.

Gabriele Pitocco

Gabriele, a Master at the stove

Gabriele, the Executive Chef of Battello Restaurant, is a true master at the stove. Originally from Valsolda, since childhood he has breathed the love for cooking handed down to him by the women of his family. After graduating as an AFC cook, he worked in renowned kitchens in Ticino, honing his technique and expanding his knowledge. His experience also extended to the Riviera Romagnola, where he managed successful restaurants, perfecting himself in the preparation of fresh pasta and fish dishes. Later, he took his culinary art to the Dominican Republic, introducing Italian flavors to the Caribbean. Returning to Ticino, he worked for 16 years as chef at the renowned restaurant "Pesce al Boschetto" in Paradiso, earning prestigious awards. Finally, he landed in Meride as Executive Chef at Locanda San Silvestro, where he won over the public with his creativity and mastery.
